The majority of my pieces are made of fine silver which is 99.9% pure silver. Fine silver is slower to tarnish than sterling silver which is made of only 92.5% silver and mixed with other metal alloys. My pieces are all hand made and no two pieces are alike.
The silver I use in my jewelry is reclaimed from sources such as photographic supplies by company called Aida owners of Art Clay Silver.The material I use is precious metal clay; I use copper, bronze and silver precious metal clays. Although the pieces begin in a maleable form the result after firing a solid metal piece.
